Some say that Matvey is like the next big thing from Russia, but it is really too early.

He set the record for U15 in his league. 55 goals in 21 game look impressive, even for this level of competition(not very strong)

He's a late 2004 birthday. Listed as 5'9 - 147. Not sure if it's up to date, maybe he's bigger now.

Some stats:
Федерация хоккея Москвы. Статистика.

Nice goal 2:20:31

Finally another "Special prospect" from Russia?

He's not even 15 yet... Of course, his numbers are ridiculous, but who knows, what will happen to him in a few years.

But his dangling is crazy, and he plays vs more or less good competition, it's Russsia's championship for his age group after all.

And they haven't played vs that team Severskiye Volki yet, that lost to SKA 17-0 and let in 46 goals in 3 games...

They don't even have his page on EliteProspect yet...

He scored 20+10 in 8 games in Federal Districts Teams Champioship, btw. It's another Russian Championship, just for regional teams (imagine, if Canada had province teams championship, that would be something like this).

EP sucks for Russian prospects. There’s a Russian-language forum that @wolem78 posts at for Russian prospect updates, with threads by birth year that I find very informative (albeit in a very broken translation as a non-Russian speaker).

Российский хоккей here is the best site for Russian prospects. There is even an English version, but very poorly made.

What are the best options for a such high priced prospect? Stay in Russia? MHL? Because its obvious, VHL and KHL level is still way too much? Or go to North America? Is Finland or Sweden even in consideration?

Usually best talents just play with guys that one or two (very rare case) year older until they are allowed to play in MHL (next year is first eligible for 2003 year born). Then Lokomotiv has team in MHL that is one of the best in the league. Also Lokomotiv is famous with adding young players into the squad, so I think that the best way for him is to stay in Yaroslavl.

Six more points against Ak Bars. 21+13 now

Imagine, Lipanov scored 8 points in 6 games at the same tournament, and Michkov scored 6 points in a game vs very solid team.

Another example. Vasily Ponomarev, who is considered one of the top Russian prospects for 2020 draft, scored 7+1 in 6 games at Federal Districts Championship as 14 year old, and Michkov scored 20+10 in 8 games.

Without question best option is to stay, if he stays an elite talent he should be able to see KHL action by 18 or even 17.

Loko lost to CSKA 6-3, Michkov scored 0 points and was -4... Oh, well, sometimes one man army doesn't work. And CSKA leaders and closest to Michkov in scoring shined: Dolzhenkov with 2+2, Suniyev with 2+3.
