Highly intelligent winger with really strong hands. Has adapted his game to be a lot more aggressive without the puck this year (especially crashing the net).

He'll lose points from NHL scouts for being average sized and possessing average physical tools (skating for example).

But I do like him. He's a solid round 3-4 guy for me at this point.

It’s because he doesn't pronounce his name correctly.

MacKay is pronounced MacKai. Rhymes with sky. Pronounced like that it means ‘Son of the Fire’ in Gaelic. Pronouncing it the way he does now probably makes him son of the trash heap or something.

Seriously, though, I liked what I saw in those videos. Give him another year to marinate and Jim Benning would take him with a fifth round pick if he’s still in charge of the Canucks.
