"Take the L" lol what are you 12? I already said I read it wrong so if you wanna "give me an L" and give yourself a W all power to you, I will also send you a cookie and a trophy to go along with it lol

This is all distraction from the real issue and that is the team has THREE wins in the last 21 games and HF experts wanna give Stan a few more years LMAO

It’s a rebuild, I’m mostly certain of, at least in Stan’s eyes.

That’s why JC is here and Q isn’t.

Q is a win-now coach, and that’s not where the Hawks are at the moment. The only confusing part of this is the FO saying it’s a playoff team during the Colliton introduction.

Edit: Jokiharju’s ice time is also becoming confusing

In addition, I'd shop Murphy too. Don't see what's so great about him and how he fits the new NHL D-man mold.
Are we shopping Brandon Davidson and Luc snuggerud if we are just selling off Injured bodies then?

Murphy isnt that great but can be better than what's there when he returns and who is buying on a guy not yet playing after a backiatomy.

Hey Stan, does the name Teuvo Teravainen ring a bell? This time do not trade a young promising player just to get rid of Manning. Manning sucks and no team's gonna trade for his horrendous contract. Just bite the bullet and bury him in Rockford.

Yes, I am 12. You can mail the cookie (I prefer chocolate chip) and the trophy whenever it is convenient for you.

And LMAO? What are you, 11?

Rutta is offensive dman with good shot but he's not good defensively, he has never been that's why he was PP specialist not defensively responsible dman all career until he met Q.

Also Hawks defense can't be better until Hawks will pay top 2 money to #5-6 dmen, they can't afford to lose cap for two fake top 2 dmen... Hawks need get rid of Seabrook (and/or Keith) but such trade would require SB to swallow his pride and admit that his contract offer for Seabrook was terrible move.

Obviously that's the answer but very few GMs will want Keith. And none want Seabrook.

It’s a rebuild so let’s hire a worse coach so the team can lose? Are people now somehow claiming and accepting this as reality as Stan’s master plan? I am confused I am not exactly following what you are trying to say.

Worse in what way?

Q is a win-now coach, JC is seemingly better with developing the younger players [based on Bowman’s Spittin Chicklets interview].

I’m not sure what “master plan” you’re talking about. I think Stan wants to rebuild, and McDonough doesn’t [because he’s only worried about ticket sales for tomorrow’s game].

When did this “rebuild” start? Did it start after 2015 or did it this year or the year before? How about this there was never really a rebuild but Stan just made a series of bad decisions that has the team where it is right now, is that an option in your head?

I tend to take Ronald Macdonald at his word that there is no rebuild, they just couldn’t save the team, they thought that Q was the problem and now they are realizing that Stan.

I think the rebuild started after the Nashville series, but Stan wasn’t allowed to go all out because McDonough still wanted to pretend this team was competing in order to sell tickets.

If Stan really thought this team would be competitive last year and this year, he wouldn’t have sold of a superstar forward. He would’ve milked every last drop out of Hjalmarsson. He would’ve signed someone more significant than Manning and Kunitz.

I don’t know why Q wasn’t fired in the offseason, that doesn’t make sense to me. But I think Stan knew all this was coming. I think he knew the window had closed after Nashville and he’d need to rebuild this team. I think he wasn’t allowed to be open about that because of a directive from his boss, McDonough.

That said, I’m not sitting here and saying Stan is the only guy capable of doing it. He’s not some magical hero in my mind, despite what you’d like to believe.

EDIT: Also, I do believe a rebuild can happen around Toews and Kane as they are still young enough to still be effective once the young defensemen develop. I don’t think Keith, Seabrook, or Crawford will play any sort of significant role once this team is competitive again.

Chill out guys.

?

Nobody is mad.

At least I’m not, I don’t think Blackhawks is either. We’re just discussing where we think this franchise is at because the organization refuses to be straightforward about it, and that forces us to interpret their moves and make the best guesses based on the evidence.

I’m almost positive Bowman would be willing to swallow his pride to move that contract. The problem is nobody wants that contract.

I’m not even sure they can trade Keith either. It’s a nice thought, but he still has four more years and has looked shaky. The only positive to his contract is there isn’t a lot of actual money left to pay him.

That’s only positive for the owner, doesn’t help the GM
