Tell you what, I had a similar conversation with a Russian one night in Dubai. We both agreed to disagree on all but one point: Canada and Russia are the two kingpins of hockey -- the rest are just pretenders to the throne. If you guys win tonight I promise to wear my cherished Tretiak Central Red Army jersey in my next pick-up game at Peterborough's Memorial Centre under the banners of Roger Neilson and Bob Gainey!

If we win, maybe you can promise to never again cite the '74 WHA all-stars as an example of one of Canada's "best" line-ups!
