I hope WJC U18 will happen next spring, because I wanna watch this Russian Team: Michkov, Miroshnichenko, Yurov, Chibrikov, Gazizov, Poltapov, Kvochko, Koromyslov.

Yeah, not too sure about Miroshnichenko at this point..

What was the last time the U18 team had some games or training camps? U16, U17 teams just had some camps.

Thanks, what's with the omissions of Yurov, Petrov , Chibrikov and Poltapov? Would think they would be obvious selections

Michkov and Mironishchenko were born in 2004, but I can't imagine they would be considered too young for this tournament. They could both be generational talents!

Michkov is in the talk to participate at WJC(especially with extended rosters this time). He is easily a U18 candidate. As there was no additional information so far to chew on who knows what's in the plans? They might see Michkov as a U20 possibility... or not.

Buchelnikov - Ivantsov - Michkov (SKA-1946 connection)
Miroshnichenko - Svechkov - Yurov (looks sexy, doesn't it?)
Poltapov - Danil Grigoryev - Stiven Sardaryan (Red Army wingers plus big Irbis center)
Kuzmin - Lazutin - Chibrikov (another SKA system line)

As to defense, I have no idea who plays what side, so can't say anything about pairs.

Don't think so. Maybe just too much SKA goalies. But you need to know more about 03' goalies to make say who else should be in the roster. Gerasimyuk and Viazovoy with a very good stats this season. Brinkman is also not bad. Ivanov is the top 04' goalie.
