Yeah, since Bragin likes NA forwards so much. But yeah, when I look at the goalie depth I think there is a decent chance of having a 17-year old on the roster. Btw, overall this goalie crop makes me kind of sceptical.

I like what we have at D this time actually... at least at this point. C depth is far from perfect, yes, especially if injuries happen.

Imo, so they wouldn't miss too much KHL time (comparing to the CAN/RUS Series).

Well, the "strong" 4 Nations roster just lost 6-1 to Sweden. Seriously though, since the WJC will be on the big ice this year, there's no real need to take leaders to Canada to adjust. The goal of the Series participation this year basically is to test the "grinders" at a high-intensity environment.

With that kind of a lot of information incoming it's not that easy to make quick guesses anymore like I did before.


With goalies it is pretty much clear I think: Askarov Vs. Miftakhov at the group stage for the starter's position and Isayev as third.


At the D I think considering Zorkin looked good and Pylenkov not so good and Okhotyuk injured, I'd say something like that:

As for the FWs, it is definitely the most complicated part, as a lot of stuff in terms of intensity players/grinders will be decided at camp. So I'd think of something like that:

Where "x" are those intensity guys/grinders and "y" - what I call a "trickster", someone similar to Slepets last year.

In terms of the first line, wings are pretty clear, just need to find a center: Morozov was extremely good there, but I feel that he is needed more with Podkolzin (plus Marchenko can add up some flair there); Zhabreyev also looked good, but I kind of don't think that this kind of lightweighted line would survive the intensity of NA teams on the group stage and later, not to mention defensive duties; in Voronkov we have a good two-way guy and quite a fighter, but obviously the question is if he is healthy and at the top conditions at that point. I think I don't need to comment too much on the second line, as for the Khovanov's line, I wasn't a big fan of Sokolov as I didn't have an impression that he plays with intensity and is ready to do a lot of workload there, so I think it would be better to find somebody else. For the "trickster" position I think Rozhkov would be a good fit, but he is injured now, also Iskhakov could be good, but he wasn't let go to the Series, so now I think Amirov would be the top guy for this kind of duties, although maybe Zhabreyev too. As for the intensity guys/grinders positions I think almost everyone from the corresponding Can/Rus Series roster positions could still be in consideration: Komissarov, Alexandrov, Rotenberg, Shablovskiy, Kruglov, Mikhailov, Sorkin, maybe Groshev.
