I can't imagine that McDavid's agents wouldn't have made it known to the Oilers that he wouldn't stand in the way of a trade out of Edmonton by now. Perhaps he enjoys the pain of being an Oiler, but I am speculating he will be gone from Edmonton soon. There is no fixing this mess.

Lol 30 teams passed on Spooner and Manning, doubt Petrovic will be any different.

Petrovic is better than Manning, cheaper, on an expiring contract, right handed, etc. I don’t really see the comparison

With competent management the Oilers could be turned around this summer. No joking. It could actually happen that quickly considering they have a good base of elite talent to work from.

The obstacle is the competent management part of the equation. Does anyone have confidence that the people in charge will make the right calls?
