Good player , yes , draft picks in the 1st and 2nd round in a talented draft , no .Good player, good contract with term yes, rental no
Agreed but remember that oughtta drive up the value of our pieces going the other way as well. It's like trading chocolates for roses the day before valentines dayThis is generally the most expensive time of year to acquire a player. Even if it's a pure hockey trade, player values are at a premium. Stand pat, Chevy!
They probably don't make that move if they didn't have all those injuries but they still have a good pool of prospects left over
There is a point where you are either a contender or not
DeMelo now strengthens the RHD position.
With him on the Jets which one is the bigger need: C or D?
Would you guys be willing to give up prospects+picks for both (go all in sort of)? Or would it be stupid?
That's pretty much what I meant with going all-in. Both of those are going to cost high-end prospects or 1st rounders.Going all in this season doesn't make much sense. A 2C or top 4D with term would be nice, and something worth spending a 1st round on.
Oh yes, I'm fine with selling. I'm just not sure that's the way management is leaning (it's not the sense I'm getting)...or whether we have anything anyone wants to buy.Agreed but remember that oughtta drive up the value of our pieces going the other way as well. Wouldn't 3C and top 4D be enough?
