Expected to be done at the end of the meetings? That's an awfully long time for someone to swoop in and counter. Tweet seems a bit pre-mature unless it is indeed officially agreed upon.

I approve. The statistical projections won't like him but he's a rather unique guy who fits well on this team. Absolutely a chance at his age that he could be Guthrie-bad by the second year but to me it's a risk worth taking that he'll provide 100-125 innings of pretty solid pitching (be it relief, starting or likely a combination when all is said and done)
for each of the next two seasons.
