Who do we want to face? How do we match up?

I'd prefer SJ, due to their goaltending issues, but Vegas would be a fun series.

The playoff system makes zero sense, the 1st Wild Card team has to go trough better teams to reach the conference finals.

Vegas are better but San Jose owns us. Not overly confident anyway.

I guess going up against Martin Jones would be nice but it seems like every time we play a goalie that’s supposed to suck they turn into Hasek.

One thing that worries me about Vegas is that dirty headhunting POS McNabb. Watched the 3rd period of the last SJ-Vegas game and he was just taking runs at people.

I'd say-
Compher: clutch scoring
Jost: really showed his defensive ability and cause alot of turnovers.
Calvert-Battle.
Wilson-Timely scoring
Cole-Rock.

Though that would be nice...especially with Samwise banged up...I don't want our guys sitting around for too long. Hopefully the next round starts while they're still in the rhythm they established against Calgary.

I see you guys as an up and coming powerhouse. I figure you guys will draft a dman with the 4th overall pick. Nathan MacKinnon is on a mission. Quite the duo that came from the same rink in Cole Harbour, Crosby and MacKinnon

I learned some decent coping mechanisms from Flames fans this post season so I think I can rationalize anything at this point. Examples below:

1) If we lose in every advanced stat and the score reflects as much that means Vegas/San Jose are "lucky" or "the refs stole one for them".

2) If Grubs plays lights out and we let 50 shots a game at net our goalie sucks if we lose by 1 goal even if he has a .974 save %.

3) We are going to lose to 1 player (which we will choose at a later date) and claim the only reason we are losing is because of that one guy, the rest of the opponents team are passengers and clearly outclassed by our team.
