Pretty obvious they wanted Seider but he unexpectedly went to Detroit. They must have had a pretty good idea that York would be there at 14 and/or had a plan B in mind, so they traded down. I'll take York and 45 over Seider.

What about Ty Smith or Samuel Girard? Those names jump out at me in all 3-zones. They're more intelligent, smallish puck movers with poise and some pop than true dynamos.

A top 15 pick? You gotta go for most upside...and York doesnt have it. And even if he does...hes not gonna hit it here behind Provorov, Sanheim, Myers, and Ghost.
