Silfverberg.

Game 2: Game winner (1-2) with 21 secs left of third. [1st star]
Game 3: 1st assist to equalizer (1-1) with 7 secs left of 1st period. 1st assist to equalizer (3-3) and goal to equalize 4-4 with just over two minutes left of 3rd period. [2nd star]
Game 4: Two first assist late in third period to make it 4-2 and 5-2, just after WPG started to get traction in the push back with a goal to make it 3-2.

Close second, Kesler. Could easily be first since he was involved in almost all of the above as well.

My best guesses through Round 1.
Hudler is not even top 5 on the Flames, he was not very good through the first 3 games. In fact I would consider him a top 10 candidate at this point in time. I would have Russell, Brodie, Hiller, Gaudreau, Monahan, Ferland, Jones, Engelland, Wideman and Stajan all ahead of him at this point in time.

Don't get me wrong... Duuuuuuuubs has played well... but he hasn't had to make very many difficult saves, and played 1 very poor game.

Parise is easily the front runner for the Wild at this point.

I'm forecasting the future :sarcasm:

I admit, haven't seen much of MIN-STL series, so I could see Parise definitely being the frontunner, but Minny will NEED Dubnyk to be Conn Smythe worthy in this series.

Also for Oilers spite sake, I want him to win.

Obviously Price.

Darkhorse...

Pleks could also win the Conn Smythe because:

elite defensive game, steady two-way play.
heart and soul of Montreal's penality kill.
always logging big minutes in crucial times.
he's an underrated ****ing pest out there.

...Candidate for the captaincy, most experienced habs foward, just need some clutch offensive production to match his usual ass-saving work, and the Conn Smythe might very well be his.

Plekanec was underwhelming against the Sens, and has always been underwhelming in the playoffs, generally speaking. If the Habs end up winning anything worth a damn, rest assured it's either Price or Subban ending up with the Conn Smythe... Most likely Price.

If you've watched any of this year's NYR playoff games, the answer is Girardi.

Lundqvist has been good... but Girardi has been their MVP so far.

People saying Gallagher are cringeworthy. Yeah he scored a huge goal and plays his heart out every game, but to me he's 3rd on the Habs in that run.

Carey Price gets my vote.

Jeff Petry is second, he's soooo underrated.

lol theres no such thing as Conn Smythe frontrunner. I dont care if you score 20 goals in round 1 and 2 if you dont at least make it to the finals you're not winning. Hold of on this thread will you?

For Calgary, probably Stajan or Brodie for me. It's a tough call, though, because so many guys stepped up.
