No C, 4 As - Staal, Kreider, Zuc, Shatty - Book it!
If Zucc is on the team he will have an A, he already has one and there's no reason to take it away.Staal, Kreider, Fast, Shattenkirk.

Putting aside the decline in his game, Staal has been an exemplary Ranger. I think he's a fine choice as an A. You don't have to give letters to your best players. It should be the guys who embody hard work, dedication and leadership. Staal fits that bill. IMO, anyway. The only A on Marc Staal's jersey should be on his back

I'd personally go Rengers. So it'll say RNGERS on the front?
How about taking Lucic off their hands as part of a package that includes #10
That's my point...Gorton has made it clear that Ranger management wasn’t happy with the leadership core. How does Zuccarello escape criticism that fell at the feet of the rest of the players that were moved? Zuccarello has special ‘leadership’ powers like Callahan did apparently.
His leadership clearly didn’t help the giant leadership problem this team had last year
It's not just the captains job to be a leader. It's been widely reported that there was a whole disconnect between the veteran players and the younger players and even between the coaching staff and players. Zucc is part of that veteran players group, and if you're saying he is absolved of the blame of not taking any responsibilities upon himself just because McDonagh was here, then he's not the leader you think he isZucc wasn't the captain. McDonagh was, and he has a totally different personality. He never confronted players when things didn't go well, instead he had his own problems.
As Elite Sports NY suggests, Zuccarello will be a great captain, he has all the necessary tools.
Doesn't he still have like 4 years left on it? Little too long for my preference, but I also don't think we should be looking to add more picks for the 2018 draft at this pointHow about taking Lucic off their hands as part of a package that includes #10

It actually doesn’t work the way you just laid out at allThe captain is in command, the A's are just his assistants. How do think McD would feel if Zucc or any other A started to do his job behind his back? It doesn't work that way..
First off "A" is for alternate captain, not assistant, and second what you're describing is completely wrong. The captain is in command, the A's are just his assistants. How do think McD would feel if Zucc or any other A started to do his job behind his back? It doesn't work that way..
