Bang!

Pair him with Jimmy Shuldt for cost effectiveness!

Must mean they are sure of unloading Fleury.

I sure hope Kakko takes some strides because our RW position is pretty terrible.

RW is a complete wildcard this year.

On the one hand, you have Buch and a bunch of question marks.

On the other hand, you have Buch and potentially Kreider, Kakko, Kravtsov and Gauthier.

And then you have anything and everything within those two extremes.

I know the purpose of these threads isn't SOLELY to discuss free agent signings, but we must've amassed what? 200 pages worth of free agency threads and all we have to show for it are JMFJ, Kevin Rooney and Bob the Builder.

So — if we had 97 pages instead would it make any difference? Or 250?

What are you, sad that we didn’t sign more players despite knowing we have a flat cap to deal with for the 3 years and limited cap space?

Last year Santa Gorton added Panarin, Trouba, Fox, Kakko, and this year Lafrenière. He’s tried to make some other moves too but shit doesn’t always pan out.

I can not imagine being able to go to any nhl city for almost a decade and choosing Vegas. I like the town more than more people I know, especially people who aren’t very into casinos and all that, but damn I could not live there for that long.

Its honestly just sinking in for me. A lot of you really thought this team was a legit contender for the season. It's so hard to reconcile the prevailing thought. People were shipping Buchnevich out of town for futures and Strome for cap space. I thought it was the long game. But I see now that people thought Kakko and Kravtsov were going to go PPG while Chytil neutralized top lines and beat Strome's point totals.

This team is at the dawn of their window. There are a few years of disappointment and growing pains coming. Gorton jumped into free agency too soon with the 2019 spree. But you can't just force your prospect pool to short cut development to fit artificial windows.

Panarin and Trouba have to wait for reinforcements, and these shortsighted buyouts are going to have to clear up before we turn the corner. This was not the year where we were addressing needs and making a contender.
