Great. Why don't we grow a set. Police ourselves. That makes me embarrassed to be a Ranger fan.
Absolutely!! The time to act was last night, Buch Panarin,Strome did.. Fox n Zib didnt even drop there sticks. Once Panarin didnt return someone should have done something.. Too late now its embarrassing.

Who cares if they are equipped or not? Thats, again, pathetic. Its not about “winning” a fight, its about having some balls, having a PULSE, and responding to your star player getting dangerously body slammed to the ice and then sat on. Like I said, some of this fan base is just as soft as the team. Its likely many never played this sport or any other competitively beyond the age of 10. Wilson was back out there in the 3rd and no one went near him. Blackwell was the only one and quite frankly Wilson was a little bit off balance when he hit him making it look more impactful. They shouldve been hitting him every chance they could. They shoulve been hitting Backstrom every chance they could. Have some f***ing self respect. Starts from the coach down. Season is over, go out and make a statement.

We should all be as tough as you I guess.

If the Rangers ever end up with a Wilson like player in the future that letter is not going to be a good look for them.

And really what is with the letters and public announcements? Just do stuff. No one needs a letter to know they are rebuilding, or a press conference about their actions with a player, or about this, again, just do stuff.

This will eventually bite them in the ass.

Exactly. Zip your yap JD, put down the whine, and put a player on the ice tomm night to represent your team and organizations discontent.

I wish we went retribution instead of this, but this is a bold move by JD.

I just wish he did it at a podium, and went a little ad libbed as well.

But it just does not make any sense to appeal to the public here.

If they want to make a stink with the other owners or Bettman behind the scenes, fine.

Announcing a rebuild then entering the seller market was a odd move too.

Similar with ADA and never gonna play again for us, just do it and say the general stuff like he knows what he did or whatever.

Then this too, just suck it up, figure it out internally and complain above this level behind the scenes.

Would love to go after Matt Tkachuk if CGY is serious about moving him.

Also, probably a long shot, but could there be something around a Strome-Greenway swap? MIN needs centres like a fish needs water at the moment.

Edit: Scratch the Tkachuk idea actually - thought he was a centre for some reason. Greenway I'd still take a flyer on though if possible.

Really just don't want to see any reactionary trades where we give up massive skill to add some form of toughness. Have a weird feeling this will lead to a trade with us giving up Kravtsov, Nils, KK, etc. to add that type of element.

Goons and one-dimensional players are not needed. We need guys that push back. Don't fight Wilson. Go hit the other team's stars. If everyone is doing it, Wilson starting a single fight with a player means nothing. Anybody can throw a hit, finish a check, play with some fire, but not everyone will. You can't have a team where 2-3 guys are expected to be physical. It has to be a team identity. Even if they aren't throwing hits, they should be a pain to play against because they fight through everything. Instead, it sometimes looks like a failed attempt at being Harlem Globetrotters.
Skill is great, but it has to be mixed with focused determination and a mentality that everyone has each other's back. Not a single goon needed for that.

A trade would be fine. "Massive" skill without other stuff is kinda pedestrian overall, as we have seen this year. Plus dealing someone really good ensures you don't get a plug. Try to fix this in FA and you're gonna get plugs.

Would also send a message to the guys remaining on the roster. Good. Wake em up.

So does Goodrow make sense as a ufa but if so how much ?

He does. Cost is really the determinant. He can probably get 3M on the market. Maybe not with flat cap. If we could get him at 2.25 I’d say yes for sure. Even a bit more is steep but potentially worth it. But one useful player in his ilk is a start, not a solution. Team identity needs a shake. We need 2-3 guys like that.
