In case you're wondering, Sabres appear to be rolling:

Smith-Mitts-Reinhart
Olofsson-Asplund-Olson
Pekar-Sobotka-Okposo
Wilson-Ruotsalainen-Dea

McCabe-Borgen
Hickey-Fitzgerald
Bryson-Montour
X: Jokiharju

Ullmark
Hammond

Not too much NHL experience, except in goal. That "top line" and "third line" contain nearly all of the forward's NHL experience outside of Wilson. Defense is very green outside of McCabe and Montour. A bunch of guys trying to make the squad. A couple (Olson, Pekar, Dea, Hickey, Fitzgerald, Bryson) don't really have a chance to make the NHL roster outside a callup midseason. Pekar is very likely back to juniors soon.

Just realized, with the goalies line up posted here, CBJ have goalies wearing #70 (Korpi), #80 (Kivlenieks) and #90 (Elvis)

That being said, gonna feel good to see some CBJ hockey again tonight.
Was hoping to see Dano in the lineup tonight - but interested to see how guys like Peeke, Sherwood, Bemstrom do.

This seems to be a large group of guys in the lineup fighting for forward spots. The lack of Fix-Wolansky and Dano is slightly intriguing, but I won't read too much into it. Glad to see Thurkauf is seemingly healthy.

Definitely streamed on Fox Sports Go. Probably also streamed on BlueJackets.com, although I'm not 100% certain of that. I don't believe it's on TV.

Here's the lines:

Texier being opposite Bjorkstrand was a briefly successful thing at the end of last year, centered by Foligno. I'd also like to see them around Dubois. :naughty:

The middle two lines tell me that Torts is trying to figure out which of the kids will be able to play well on a 4th line. Realistically the top 9 doesn't have much room, perhaps no room if Wennberg plays well. Just my thinking but I actually like Milano on 4th line LW. He can score on his own so he doesn't really need great linemates. Milano - Nash - Fixy would be what I'd do, given what we've seen so far. Not too realistic I know.

Holy smokes.

I know it's just pre season but, that shot just gave me chills.

I just saw Ovie flash before my very eyes. Bemstrom, more of that PLZ. goodness.
