Talk about going off the boil. C's concentration looks shot.

Epic TB and Cecchinato gets it done on the 4th MP! Saves 2 set points. Some bad misses from Nole in the TB.

I'm a little surprised by how easily Stephens blew Kasatkina off, 3 and 1. She looks primed for another GS championship.

Djokovic said he may not play the grass season? Why would he skip it?

Sharapova: 3-love; eight errors; four double faults.

Maria looks loud today. :laugh:

Muguruza with a 4-love lead looks as confident as an eel on a motorcycle.

6-2 Garbine. No pressure to speak of from Maria, so a very easy set for Muguruza.

================================================

Three straight breaks at the start of the second set, 2-1 Garbine.

Maria can't hold serve to save her soul, 4-1.

Yet another service break concludes maybe the worst match of Sharapova's life, 6-1.

At 5-4 a game Halep breaks to even the match. Jeez, she is the only non-drama queen left.

All that hard work and Kerber breaks right back, 6-5....but Simona won't let go of the set, 6-6.

Kerber takes the breaker as Halep's serve continues to let her down.

====================================================

Halep, looking awfully determined, breaks for 1-love.

This baby ain't no work of art by any means (every other point is determined by an unforced error), but at least it's competitive, 5-3 Halep.

Kerber double faults away her serve for the set, 6-3, allowing Simona to serve first in the deciding set

===================================================

Halep breaks at love, 2-love. Lots of fight in her....but her serve again fails her and Kerber breaks for 2-1

At the moment, both women have 17 winners and 38 unforced errors for the match. It's been that kind of day.

Halep breaks right back for 3-1. She is not playing her best, but she looks like a bull dog out there. Kerber will have trouble matching her in the will department.

Now 5-2 as Halep bends a little but doesn't break.

Kerber chokes away her final service game and the match belongs to Simona. Well deserved. She is on a mission.

Muguruza looking like a strong favorite to lift the trophy here again.

Not counting Serena, what it is when the veteran women play one another? It always seems to end up being such abysmally lousy tennis.

ESPN streak had the prop bet of Nadal wins 18 games or any other result.

I took any other result so hopefully Diego can push a set to at least 5-5 :laugh:

And a break already! That helps.

Hopefully we get a competitive match.

I used to play that, but I stopped once they moved everything to one app.

All depends on how well Diego can handle the bounce at 5' 7".

Love Halep in the final. She wants a GS. Hope she doesn't try too hard, though, which might have been the danger earlier in the match today .

I like Muguruza in the SF but should be a good match.

And Schwartzman breaks Nadal for a 3rd time and gets to 5-4. So my bet should be safe unless Schwartzman wins in straight sets and Nadal gets some combination of 18 games :laugh:
