RIP to a largely unsung legend. The 13th Floor Elevators are an important band for being arguably the first psychedelic rock band. Slip Inside This House, posted above, is one of the greatest songs ever, IMO.

Roky's story is also really tragic. A victim of drug use and failed by mental health institutions, he still put together a remarkable career despite his issues. You can watch a documentary on his life on YouTube:

I was just on vacation with a group of friends and heard Two Headed Dog for the first time. I felt like I heard it as a child way back in the day something very familiar about it. Just got a copy of The Evil One. He was scheduled to play a festival in upstate NY this summer and there was talk of going with some friends. RIP. Shame I just learned of him and his story.
