Ovechkin currently has 48 goals.

Draisaitl (43/74*82) is currently on pace to score 47.6 goals.
Kane (41/72*81) 46 goals.
Tavares (41/74*82) 45.4 goals.

Unless they pick up their pace Ovis current 48 goals should be enough to win RR.

More then merrier. If they all end the season with same amount of goals scored, they all win the trophy. Win-Win-Win-Win.

Looks like we might need to replace the word "Race" with the word "Crawl" in thread title.

Ha. It's weird how everyone who was absolutely torching it seems to be all like, "No you win it, no you win it" the past little while.

At one point it looked like there could be 3 or 4 guys with 50 goals this year. Now, unless he has a massive slump (he'll probably score 2 today after I write this), it looks like only Ovechkin will reach 50+.

I know this award is definitely and deservedly Ovi's and it's absolutely amazing how he might even hit 50+ goals.

I'm just thrilled that Brayden Point made it to 40 goals last night for the first time (and hopefully not the last) in his career at the tender age of 23. It's just his third season in the NHL and it's amazing that he is hanging with the top ten goal scorers in the League at the moment in this race/crawl!

The only other Lightning players in franchise history to reach 40 goals in a given season were Martin St. Louis, Vinny Lecavalier, Brian Bradley, Steven Stamkos, and Nikita Kucherov.

Pretty rarefied company for a quiet, humble 23 yr. old kid from Calgary.

God Ovi is slowing down these last couple games. He had that two goal game but other than that he can't seem to pot them. Really want him to get 50

He is playing well though. He, actually, has passed on shooting and attempted to set up his teammates for an easier shot several times during his empty net shifts. Selfless player.

Yeah when I watch him he's still creating a lot of chances for his teammates, making great passes. I'm sure he'll get the next two, probably in one game lol

Caps have had a very very rough schedule. Have to play Tampa 3 times in 2 weeks.

Ovi showing major signs of slowing down I think the age is finally getting to him. Mattews will take the rocket next season

Ovie is one of the most consistent players and goal scorers in NHL history. He had 49 goals in 82 games last season. He's at 48 goals with 75 games played so far (missed 1). How is that considered 'slowing down'?

Matthews has missed 14 games this season. After missing 20 games last season. Wake me up when he can stay healthy, play close to 82 games and put up 50+ actual goals.
