Borgen and Dougherty have been the best two defensemen on the team. You aren't going to see much flash out of them but you'll see simple and excellent defense. One of the benefits of sitting up high to see the whole ice is watching guys like them and how they impact a play. Does that type of game translate into the NHL? A million dollar question. For now, they're playing as you said a simple defensive game and that helps win hockey games.Hi guys. Can someone who watches Rochester regularly give me a analysis on Will Borgen? Saw him play a few times and really like his simple defensive game how has he looked this year? Thank you

Elie has one less point in four fewer games, let’s slow down on anointing Leier as the next one.Leier has been all over the scoreboard. Is he first in line for a call-up?
Elie played NHL for most of the season. As far as forwards go, if Oloffson or Nylander can't outpace either Elie or Leier, why on earth would they be called up before Leier?Elie has one less point in four fewer games, let’s slow down on anointing Leier as the next one.
This is confusing. Olofsson is clearly outpacing Elie, and Leier. And everyone else for that matter. He's the next call up, and it'll be an emergency call up after the trade deadline. Although some folks that have been covering Rochester all year suggest that Dan O'Regan should be up before Olofsson.Elie played NHL for most of the season. That’s the exact point I make every time people start screaming for Rochester promotions.Elie played NHL for most of the season. As far as forwards go, if Oloffson or Nylander can't outpace either Elie or Leier, why on earth would they be called up before Leier?
Only due to PPP. I agree they're all close, just wondering where people thought Leier fit into the picture. His contract makes him a see now or never type of situationThis is confusing. Not defending Elie but the guy played like once a month for Buffalo. It would be hard if not impossible to find any type of consistency playing once a month.Your timing, game shape etc all suffer and knowing if you screwed up your not playing again makes it worse.Elie played NHL for most of the season. Oh, yeah, he's going to be group VI huh?Only due to PPP. I agree they're all close, just wondering where people thought Leier fit into the picture. His contract makes him a see now or never type of situation
