Robert, or his dad Kent rather, has asked for permission to leave Leksand, the management agreed.

AIK who plays in the 2nd league has been in contact with Nilsson, but I bet Robert is more interesting in playing for Djurgården, Kent's old team. Robert practiced with them the summer 2002.

Seems like everybody's going to Djurgarden.

Any reason why he's leaving? Lack of playing time or something?

He sits on the bench most of the time, he doesn´t get enough playing time.

The AHL age rule always confuses me.

Can he play in the AHL in 2004-2005?

Yes, because he's European. The age rule only applies to CHL players.

Wasn't there rumours that a WHL wanted to draft him perhaps Calgary??

but you would know better than I if he was drafted in an IMPORT draft...

Nilsson was rumoured to be in talks with a few WHL teams for the 2003 Import Draft...mainly Calgary, Saskatoon and even Prince George. Most of these rumours were strung up by the local papers in each city.
