According to a report in Wednesday's Toronto Sun, Colorado Avalanche defenceman Rob Blake is unlikely to take part in the World Cup of Hockey later this summer.

The paper reports that Blake had surgery on his shoulder after the season and, while his recovery is progressing, the damage was more serious than expected.

I'm hoping Jay Bouwmeester is the one chosen to replace Blake.

I'm getting real scared here. First no Yzerman, now no Blake!
