The New Jersey Devils continued their amazing run on the road Tuesday night, beating the Montreal Canadiens 5-2. The line of Kovalchuk-Drury-Gaborik was once again the difference, as they combined for 3 goals and 6 assists, and were on the ice for 4 of the 5 Devils goals. The game was a nasty one, with Sami Salo being ejected in the first after a wicked hook sent Derrick Walser to the locker room. The Canadiens retaliated in the third with the game out of reach on a gutless play by Marian Hossa, charging Robyn Regehr who left the game but is expected to play Wednesday night. Regehr didn't say anything to reporters after the game, but the look on his face said that Hossa would be a marked man when these teams meet again.

The Devils have been nearly flawless on the road, with a 4-0-1 record including wins over the contending Senators and Canadiens. The Devs have outscored their opponents 22-8 away from the swamp, yet have only 1 win in 4 tries at home, with one tie mixed in. While the road record is nice, the Devils will have to figure out how to win at home if they want to be contenders this season.
