Carter is going to be 32.. Nuge is 23.

Not sure about this. Also don't see why Kings do it.

Carter owns RNH is every way, except age. It doesn't help that RNH is also overpaid and softer than Hugh Hefner before viagra.

The standings are the way they are because of Jonathan Quick.

LA won't sell off quietly one of the best true 2C's in the NHL for a player who is definitely not a "Darryl Sutter" player.

RNH has looked awful in the Oilers games I've seen this year.

I don't follow them closely enough to fully understand, but it's baffling that they moved Hall rather than RNH last offseason.

The same reason this trade wouldn't work. RNH doesn't have anywhere near the value Hall had.

Well, you know the other team gets a say in the trade too, right?

No way the Kings do this. Nuge is playing the worst hockey, by far, of his career to date while the Kings are in "win now" mode and have the currently superior player in Carter.

Nothing against RNH since I'm pretty neutral on the guy... But I never seem to see non-oiler fans proposing trades for him. Its always oilers fans unloading him and opposing fanbases not wanting him.

Poor guy.

Are you new? Check out the first two pages and any thread involving RNH was started by fans of other teams not Oilers.

Neither would any sane king fan at this point the oilers would have to add

As a fan of both teams, RNH just doesn't have this kinda value. Carter is a beast and highly underrated. He's a legitimate playoff performer.

The difference between RNH and Carter is the 2017 1st. With the value closer but Edmonton us better off trading that package for a RHD.

LA's window isn't closed so they wouldn't take "fair value" for Carter.
