During the lockdown ESPN Classic re-broadcast the 1969 World Series. I am so thankful now that I watched it.

3 men were in uniform for both Mets World Series victories:

Buddy Harrelson (Player in 1969 and Coach in 1986)

Davey Johnson (Orioles player in 1969 (who famously made the final out) and Mets manager in 1986)

Tom Seaver (Player in 1969 and although inactive on the Sox bench in uniform in 1986)

Sale has been throwing for a week already. Obviously nothing too intense, but still....seems like he’s on track to return at some point at the beginning of next season
