Always hard when an era ends. I didn't always think NBC was great or even good, but when you hear the same music every year, same voices, see the same faces, get used to the same routine, things like the horse racing lead-ins during the playoffs, it's going to be different without it. Now we all go back to ESPN, 17 years after they left our sport for dead. Not the same ESPN that existed in 2004 either. But it had to be this way. Once NBC decided to take NBC Sports off the air, it wasn't even possible to be the other partner as Turner will be. NBC I guess will be happy with the Triple Crown, the Olympics and Sunday night NFL games.
