Part of it is Fuji had legit legends in his stable. Heel Demolition and Powers of Pain being highlights before he moved on to Yoko in the new gen (I'm going to just forget about Orient Express).

Fuji's antics also caused the Demolition face turn which is an excellent period in tag team history.

Slick was awesome. All the heel managers were easy to hate, but HIM? Man, he was so in your face about how cool and great he was you couldn't help but want to want to smack him. He was kinda like Jimmy Hart on downers :lol:

I think they generally save for those for ones who are currently employed/under contract with them.

but not for Hall of Famers?
