The Rimouski Oceanic will finally retire Sid's number before a game on September 27th. It is the team's 25th season and they wanted to do something special. The reason why it wasn't done before is that he always refused because he wanted to wait after his NHL career.

Should have happened immediately. I am pretty damn sure there will never be another Sidney Crosby ever. Dude is an amazing human. An amazing hockey player. An amazing robot. He's insane. Deserves more than this honor.

One day even the NHL should retire 66 and 87. And for 66 we are about 15 years too late for crying out loud.

The NHL should not retire any numbers league wide. It’s a joke that nobody can wear 99.

It made me angry that EA (trash) did it in the game as well, I liked giving my worst player #99.

Steve McKenna was 99 for me.

Damn it, I wish I would have known a couple days ago so I could have brought my ol' Crosby Rimouski jersey so I could wear it in Tokyo for all of the yinzer gold.
