When you have Cole, Graves, Nieto and PEB. You have zero good nhl PK players on the ice.

Agreed. Every single Stanley Cup winner had a degree of luck en route to the big prize...and unfortunately the Avs aren't getting that.

• Starting goaltender (Grubauer)
• Backup goaltender (Francouz)
• Top 4 RHD and leading PKer (Johnson)
• Middle 6 forward (Donskoi)
• Our best 4th liner (Calvert)

That's a lot to overcome, for any team. Particularly when there's also been a back-to-back involved as well and when you're getting 0.860 goaltending (and awful refereeing to boot).

Nieto and PEB are terrible Pk forwards. PEB outskate the play all the time. Nieto doesn’t have any handles to clear the puck. Our PK forwards are nearly as big a short coming as our PK defenders.
