Rielly for me, his skating/offensive ability, is the deal-breaker for me. Both top 15 d-men in the league however.

I think it's clearly Rielly. I love Slavin but the difference offensively is too much compared to Slavin's defensive advantage.

Easily Rielly for me. That skating and offensive side he has is something Slavin really lacks.

Rielly. He has been working on his shot. His offensive instincts are elite and he is no plug in the D zone, such as Burns.

Slavin is amazing tho. Would love him being a part of any franchise I cheer for.

All due respect, it is no small sample size. Does he not have like 80 or 90 points in his last 130ish games ? Someone posted it somewhere. Regardless, can't go wrong with either.

Close but Slavin. The one sided poll results are mainly based on way more Leaf fans on here. Should be about 50/50. Anyone saying it’s not close hasn’t watched Slavin play.

Look. Slavin is a great shut down D-Man, is frustrating to play against, and looks like the next Vlasic, maybe hell be better but that remains to be seen.

Morgan Rielly is no slouch defensively, has size, and isnt afraid of using his body. AND puts up points (18 in 14 games) and is coming off a 52 point season. He really does look like the next Duncan Keith, again, maybe hell be better.

Slavin has also had MUCH better D-Partners (Pesce & Hamilton & even Faulk) so far in his career, while Rielly's best was Zaitsev.

Two great young D-Men. Im going Rielly here.
