“@AGrossRecord: Nash twisted back in shooting drill. Day to day per AV. Had same thing two years ago missed about three days.â€

“@PLeonardNYDN: Vigneault says Nash twisted his back during shootout drill. Day to day. May not play be Avs. Etem could get look with Zucc and Brassardâ€

Maybe they should take this opportunity to bump Kreider to line 1 with Brass and Zuuc, only while Nash is injured. Just to try and wake him up. Get him going...

2014-15 Kreider CF% w/ Zuuc 56.0 (204:29 TOI together) 5 v 5
2014-15 Kreider CF% w/ Brass 60.2 (128:14 TOI together) 5 v 5

2015-16 Kreider CF% w/ Zuuc 58.3 (18:19 TOI together) 5 v 5
2015-16 Kreider CF% w/ Brass 50.4 (72:34 TOI together) 5 v 5

One thing that stands out when going through the Rangers Players CF percentages is that Zuuc seems to bring the CF% up over 50 for anyone he plays with. Unless I'm reading it wrong? :dunno:

Etem-Brass-Zucc
Kreider-Stepan-Stalberg? IDK

Nah, I think Miller will stay on the second line, like in practice. And no need to change the third line, which is $$$ right now.

I think Etem on the first line for a game against the Avs, of all teams, with Berra in net, on a back-to-back, is fine.

Stepan works better with Kreider than Brassard. When they're both on it's more natural for the right handed Stepan to put pucks in areas where Kreider can use his speed to blow by defenders. They just haven't been on and part of it might be due to Stepan's injury issues.

I feel like this is a press-friendly way to scratch him and get Etem some time. We're doing well in the standings -- no need to play an ice cold star, and some line juggling could prove to be rewarding.

That could mean two broken lines due to the Nash injury instead of one (even if it is only temporary). Actually three if we consider how bad the Steps line is right now. After the Caps game, it would be silly to break up the Hayes line.

Let's go into the AVs game with at least one line that has recently performed well. :)

There's always a conspiracy to be found somewhere.

Thats true, just would really like to see if Stålberg could be what Poo was on that line

As frustrating as Nash has been he's been far from the worst and there's players that would be scratched before him. Staal and Kreider come to mind.

This is legit IMO.

Nash has been a HUGE disappointment this season, a complete waste of 7.8 million dollars :shakehead

Inb4 Etem gets a hat trick and Brooksie releases two articles about how we should trade Nash while he's cold, and why we should keep Etem on the first line due to "budding talent that will prosper under the right conditions."

He's not being scratched.

If Nash is being scratched for his recent play then Kreider is probably boarding a shuttle to Mars as we speak.

Last year when Nash got a minor day to day injury his game fell off a cliff. If the same thing happens this year, what can we expect? 5 goals on the season?

Luckily he's only made about $1.2m so far.

Unluckily he accounted for 7.8 when planning this year's roster construct.

And 7.8 next year.

And 7.8 the following year.

Oh god.

Man like someone said, hopefully this minor back problem isn't like last years minor neck problem. Dude might as well have stayed home after that happened for the rest of the season.

But then again he can't get much worse than zero goals so it's all up from here!
