Ok so why go through all that trouble with Hudon? The Habs don't want to give him away for free I imagine, but at the same time, i'm assuming Bergevin tried to trade him last year without much interest. I guess Bergevin thinks if he signs him to an affordable contract, he might be able to get something for him at one point.

The only reason they qualified him in the first place is to not lose him for nothing. I assume Bergevin is still confident he'll be able to get something for him, even though I can't see where he'd get that impression.

I don’t know what Armia wants, but I wouldn’t pay him more than what he got last year (1.85 million).

Lehkonen I would give him two or three years at 2.5 or 2.75 AAV
