Yes, its that time again. By now the players should have gotten established in whatever league they are in and shown what they have. So let's rerank the prospects this year and how they are progressing...

I'll probably start another one up around January too, at the mid-season if there wasn't an NHL lockout...

But how has your prospects look so far? Any disappointments? Any surprises?

Disappointments- Ellis' struggles to start the season in Hamilton
Surprises- Not to us Stars fans, but maybe to everyone else that Jokinen has matched his SM-Liiga high with 15 goals..and he has over 1/2 the season still left, and is on pace for 30 goals and 46 points.

Having Trevor Daley #1 shows that your prospect pool is very poor.

Having Andrei Kostitsyn #1 shows that your prospect pool is pretty horrible ;)...see, I can play that game too. He's number 1 because of his upside AND his closeness to the NHL. If NHL readiness weren't a factor, Fransson would probably be #1.

You know you have a strong prospect system when 19. Sami Lepisto, 20. Oscar Hedman, D are your #19 & 20th propects ... On some teams they may even be top 10 IMO ...

I don't think he's fallen THAT much...

I'd be surprised if he ever plays in NA again. When you fail to make the Albany River Rats defense core, your bad.

I just don't see Kadeykin as ever being very good. I always wondered why people ranked him ahead of DeMarchi.
