It wasn't decent, but it was better (which isn't saying much).

It makes sense. Why pay a guy if you are not going to listen to him.

Many of his issues with the team were about things they continued to do while he was employed.

Like not having Yak on the 1st PP..
Overplaying Schultz..
Playing Brad Hunt over Marincin.
Giving a roster spot to Gazdic.
And you can bet he would have been vocal about Nikitin.

People also have to remember that he isn't well liked by the organization. He was one of their most vocal critics. They likely gave him a hefty severance package with a non disclosure so he couldn't leak details of the gong show.
