A guy who flies under the radar but would be an amazing pick up is Raffl. He's not the biggest guy, but plays a gritty, 2-way game and wins a lot of puck battles. He isn't afraid to drop the gloves. He can also play up and down the lineup. He would be an amazing pick up for us for probably a 4th and a prospect.

I know it has been beaten to death on a number of discussions but would like Tanev here in Toronto, especially if we could get VAN to retain 50%

That would give us two runs with a quality defensive D on the back end.
Agree with this. Same with a guy like Faulk.

I would venture to overpay on a deal for a guy with a bit of term for salary retention. Want a 1st Van? Give me a mil of cap relief.

Glad your not the gm , Tanev is made of glass

I would like to see us add Rick Nash as a FA and Chris Tanev through trade.

To Toronto:
Chris Tanev

To Vancouver:
2019 first round pick
2020 second round pick
Justin Holl

Just added Holl because we'll need to move a body out to make room for him. I think adding Nash would be huge for our bottom 6 and depth overall.

Lines would be:

Marleau-Matthews-Nylander
Hyman-Tavares-Marner
Johnsson-Kadri-Kapanen
Nash-Lindholm-Brown
Ennis/Gauthier

Rielly-Tanev
Gardiner-Hainsey
Dermott-Zaitsev
Ozhiganov

Andersen
Sparks

Wow.

Sitting at a desk.
I'd really like to see us upgrade the 4th line. Lindholm/Guathier can't keep up. Ennis can stay.

Target Coleman, Vatrano, Foegele types. Hustle players.
