I don't think it would have shown any disrespect to Angilly for Rene to come back for one or two games - especially since it's not really a 41 game gig. I would have particularly liked to see him back for the Renémas* game, since that's kind of his "thing", and it was always a hoot to watch. Eggnog is a helluva drug.



I was sad that he didn't come back, but completely understand. Taking care of older family is tough, especially when you're not a spring chicken yourself. Hope he's not having any caregiver burnout, which can happen.

Angilly is fine. I'm not head-over-heels like some folks, but I don't hate the change, either.
