Comedy Central has greenlit a "reimagined" take on the former Nickelodeon and Spike adult animated series. Details are scares but the ViacomCBS-owned cable network plans to hire a new creative team for the update, which will be reimagined for a new generation.

Typical. Re-animating the corpse of a once profitable show.

Spike had their shot at a Ren and Stimpy reboot and they let the creators totally fumble it. I do not see how this Comedy Central "re-imagining" could go any better, but hopefully they somehow pull it off.

If one old cartoon should get a "re-imaging" its The Critic. Do an exact reboot but cutout the side plots and just have 'Jay Sherman' rip on current movies/tv shows. Would be impossible to mess up.
