This will be a very difficult game for SVK given they have perhaps 4 healthy and non-suspended defenseman. Need a big goaltending performance today and some heart. :)

Panik scored two goals so far. Good for him. So at least we won't be relegated. If the Czechs manage to beat the Germans, we can once again have a meaningless 'who's less pathetic' game between Slovakia and Czech rep...

Not guarenteed yet, if Germany wins both their games, and if the Czechs beat the slovaks then the slovaks go down

With his four goals and an assist this afternoon, Riso Panik now has 6 goals and 2 assists with 1 game remaining in his WJCU20 career. Panik lead Slovakia with 6 goals and 2 assists last year, and had 2 goals and 3 assists the year Tomas Tatar broke out. So add those numbers up and you have 14 goals and 7 assists for 21 World Junior Championship points.

Anyhow, his statistics must rank amongst the top for Slovak players. Certainly the goals. His 14 is not far from the career goal scoring top five which is rounded out by Robert Reichel's 18.
