Releasing prospects

I have a quick question.

Can I release a prospect now, before the waiver draft as it is still the "offseason", or do I need to wait until next june to do that?

You can release a prospect at any time you choose. The June 30th date was merely the deadline to get your prospect list under 50 by means of releasing prospects.
