Boucher has been yo-yoed in and out of the lineup all year, and hasn't done much in the minutes he has played. He has a wicked shot and is an above-average passer, but his skating and style doesn't bode well for Hynes' "fast, attacking, supportive" mantra that has noticeably shaped our lineups this year and last.

With guys like Zacha and Lappin impressing and sticking this year, and another expected wave of new guys set to come next year, Boucher's days might be numbered in New Jersey.

Personally, I'd be looking for a "Matteau/DSP"-esque 1-for-1 trade, for another player in a similar "on the outs" situation. Preferably a similarly-aged defenseman.
