As a Flyers fan it is possible; though not plausible, that the Flyers could send ~10 prospects to the WJC this year in. Ofc it is more likely to be around the ~7 figure, but it would not be overly surprising to see ~8-9.

This got me thinking, what is the most players an NHL team has ever sent to a WJC?

Coyotes & Flyers sent 7 last year.
Jets sent 6 in 2015.
Montreal, Nashville and Blue Jackets sent 6 in 2014.

Ofc WJC has been going since 1977 officially, but back then teams did not have prospects from Europe as a rule so doubt anyone had a significant number until Europe opened up more.

Has anyone ever broken into double figures? I mean, I imagine they have but it seems that most years the team that have most send ~6-7.

If this belongs in the history section feel free to move it... but it seemed to straddle both areas really.

Well, found a double figure team:

Maple Leafs in 2003 had 10 players:

Matt Stajan (CAN)
Kyle Wellwood (CAN)
Carlo Colaiacovo (CAN)
Brendan Bell (CAN)
Ian White (CAN)
Mikahil Grabovski (BLR)
Maxim Kondratiev (RUS)
Jan Chovan (SVK)
Ivan Kolozvary (SVK)
Alexander Steen (SWE)

Imagine there are more with around that figure... or maybe even 1-2 more.

I don't think Grabovski would count. He would have been MTL property at the time.
