With the team so close to the cap, a player like Reaves is largely a waste of cap space. Like him, but at his cap number it largely is a negative.

What if he signed for $1.25 AAV? There is no way to judge such an extension until you see the price. Maybe there is some give back for GMGM giving him too much on the front end.

I think also, that the unknown of what happens to the cap next season, is a major factor. Personally I'd like some certainty on that before extending role players... or any player for that matter.

Depends on the contract, like Whitecloud you sign to that league min easily.
