The New York Islanders are entertaining offers for Doug Weight or Robert Lang.

Re: Weight is off the shoulder

Rumour has it that New York Islanders are on the verge of making a block buster trade that would see either Doug Weight or Robert Lang moved for defensive minded Centre and few prospects.

When asked, the GM made a comment that Patrick Marleau is ready for prime time and will be given every opportunity to prove his offensive talent.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the annoucement.

In other news, the team has made a minor deal by acquiring Todd Harvey from Chicago for 4th and 7th round pick. The trade was made to solidify 4th line which saw Cooke and Cole double shifting from time to time. This will give the team 12 well rounded players to challenge the HFNHL elite teams.
