"Komarov is a smart, steady two-way defenseman who revealed splendid offensive instincts and defensive capabilities. He exhibited excellent hockey sense and a tremendous positioning, activating himself in neutral zone, taking advantage of open space on the cycle and timing his pinches perfectly. He moved the puck around fluidly and kept his shots from the point low, allowing for rebounds. Komarov even sparkled a bit of creativity at times, using fakes to create the space necessary to step up from the point and feed an ally in the slot. If he could improve his mobility, fluidity and quickness, he could become lethal offensively. The Russian prospect kept his head up on puck retrieval/breakout situations, which benefited him in his quest of finding open outlets. When carrying the puck in transition, he used linear crossovers to stay elusive and find skating lanes to the offensive end. In his own zone, Komarov displayed a superb strength, helping him neutralize opponents in board plays and win most of his battles. He showcased a decent gap control and an overall splendid competitive spirit as well. Although the production hasn’t come yet for Komarov, his play on the ice has been impressive. He could be worth a look in the early-to-middle rounds of the draft."

Huge game winning goal with 54 seconds left in the game. Quebec takes the series lead 1-0.

I also like his description of his goal:

Touch puck. Go shot. Puck in net. Goal.

 (at 9:40)

Great game but a bullshit goal. The Shawinigan coach went nuclear and rightfully so, as that puck was covered.

Like his game though. Starts off slow and then starts rushing the puck when the game got tougher. Nause was outstanding as well.

No it wasn’t. Look closely at the replay, he can’t put his glove on it and the puck slides to his pad. It was in front of his pad uncovered and that’s where Komarov pushed it. The referee has the right angle to see it uncovered. People behind the net also saw it. Even the goalie said afterwards he didn’t know if he had it.

The coach lost the game for his team taking this penalty with 54 seconds left. Shawinigan is strong with a man advantage but he cancelled it. He even apologized after the game for his behavior. The controversy after the game was more about if the ref had the intention to blow the whistle before the puck went in there’s no goal but only the ref knows that for sure.

Looks like he's progressing very nicely!

Is he a pair with Evan Nause? Those two seems like rock solid, looking at their stats.
