He has "Hal Gill" potential. Long reach, active stick, can protect the front of the net. Not the most agile but his speed is ok for a guy his size (so he doesn't get beat often). When he has time, he can make good passes. Could be worth a late-round pick.

From undrafted, to 7th rounder, to NHL

Not playing today, probably makes his NHL debut tomorrow. He wasn't on my radar at the start of the season but he had a good camp and he's played well in Rockford in the AHL with 16 GP, 0 G, 5 A and +3.

A Chicago's scout really liked him who put pressure on him to select him.

Very solid defender. I won't be surprised to see him play over 100 games in the NHL.
