What's your problem?
Show those rules which denies conversation of prospects who's 3 or more years away of NHL draft.
You're not moderator so you don't decide that what threads people make here got it?.

While I don't disagree with your general premise, it's pretty silly to use Maddox Fleming as an example of a guy undeserving of his own thread. While it's true Maddox is "years away from being draft eligible," he's clearly "among the best of the ['04] age group" at this point. In the next couple years his development may stall and/or he'll be passed by many other prospects, but that's true for most prospects talked about at the U15/16 stages. He's not some random, no-name, undeserving prospect. He's clearly a top '04 name to watch at this point.

I think his pretty good no nonsence defencman havent seen him since Pohjola-leiri but one of top Finnish defencemen for 2021 draft.. not quite Viljami Juusola level but maybe in the next tier with all the Atte Lehikoinen, Aleksi Malinen, Aleksi Heimosalmi and co

Cedar Rapids drafted Ervasti in the 2nd Round of the USHL futures draft. He came to summer camp but the Roughriders chose not to put him on the affiliate list.

Last weekend in U20 SM-sarja six assists in 2 games. In videos #7.

Now having in 19 games 11 points. Plus/minus also pretty solid +14.

Ervasti had a bit of a hard time getting his own game in shape in the last few months, but now in the playoffs he has again found the best version of himself. In four playoffs games, he has scored two goals and given three assists.

"Ervasti had a superb performance for Lukko U20 in this playoff game. His confidence with the puck stood out, especially in the offensive zone, where he was willing to take charge and create opportunities with his individual play. His head was up with the puck so that he could scan the ice and identify time and space. He displayed good playmaking skills from the back end as well. He recorded one goal and one assist in the game. On his goal his wrist shot found its way through a screen to the net. His shot is not particularly heavy or quick, but he is able to place it well: he shoots with a purpose. Defensively he has a good stick, reads the game well and is proactive rather than reactive. He has gained explosiveness and quickness – skating has improved considerably in the last two years. The right-shot defenseman is an NHL Draft prospect with a balanced game and offensive prowess."

Given that around 10-12 players from Finland get drafted each year - and he has yet to play in either the national junior team nor Liiga (and doesn't appear to be committed to a US university) - the likelihood of Ervasti getting selected in the 2021 NHL Draft appear limited.

But with offensively oriented defenseman in demand is certainly worth tracking as he continues to develop.

He has been on the U18 national team whole season. They just haven't played against other national teams because of the corona.
