The last member of the original Sharks team. So sad to see him hang it up, but who would have thought the last member of that '91 team would retire in 2015? Just crazy.

This guy was magic in the powerplay, as a point-man no less. Could we talk him into playing half a season just for the powerplay? how about as a coach at least

One of my all-time favorite Panthers. Amazing that we claimed him off of waivers. He was such a fun player to watch and the nicest guy.

Enjoy your retirement, Wizard!

when we traded ray for i believe a 6th round pick it was the beginning of the downfall of the panthers at that time. thankfully we seem to be on our way back. GREAT PLAYER!!

He was a bright spot on the ice during a dark period before the Bure acquisition. One of the best pickups the Panthers ever made. Getting rid of him to keep Bure doesn't seem one of the brightest decisions management ever made, but of course it was really about shedding salary to sell the team, so I guess it was going to happen regardless.

I nearly cried when this happened :shakehead . But I didn't know much about the business of hockey back then (and don't now ) so I wouldn't have known it was a salary move. All I saw was a lot of goals being traded!

He was one of my favorite underrated panthers player. He will be missed around the league. His last game was last season against the canes, which he won a cup with.
