Pretty hard to switch from RB to DE. DE are typically 6'3 and 255 LBS or bigger. Basically the size of a TE.

RB - most would switch to WR or DB. Peterson/Henry could be TE or LB as an option. Barkley, Kamara, McCaffery, Jacobs, Taylor all max out at 6 feet. A 6-4 LT at 310 lbs is going to have the arm length to keep them at bay.
