Tampa is probably the best place for a temporary home. I don't think Amalie Arena can house an NBA team full time...
There is almost no chance what so ever that the nba would expand or move a team to Tampa due to the magic being an hour and a half away.

From the looks of it, this is a best decision the Raptors got. Historical wise, the governments decision to reject the Raptors from playing games in Toronto would mean this will be the first NBA season since 1994-95 that no games played in Canada before the Raptors and the Vancouver Grizzlies joined the league (except for a few Buffalo Braves games in the 70s at Maple Leaf Gardens).

Toronto Huskies hosted the first ever NBA game at Maple Leaf Gardens and played 35 home games that season (1946-1947).

I thought they'd end up in KC or Louisville. KC's arena doesn't have an anchor tenant and they could share the Yum Centre with the Cards. If there hadn't been such a huge spike in Nevada it would've been a golden opportunity for Vegas to showcase itself to the league as a spot for relocation or expansion, like OKC in 2006 when they hosted the Hornets.
