Raphael Dwamena collapsed during a game yesterday and passed away from a heart attack

Apparently he had a known heart condition. Had a heart attack once in 2020 and a ICD inserted, which was removed last year at his request.

RIP.

There is a video circulating which shows the moment it happened. Other players knew right away and the medical response was extremely fast. Responders were there within seconds and an ambulance was there in less than 30 seconds.

Nothing to do with that, he was born with a heart defect, had a pacemaker put in and took it out voluntarily so he could continue playing ...

An ex-La Liga player doesn't need steroids to play in Albania.

It seems like he preferred to risk dying while doing something he loved then just play it safe by retiring and maybe living a lot longer.
